A2. It is the step between A1 and B1, and some residence purposes ask for it; check what your authority requires.

No. The certificate has no expiry date. Some authorities, universities or employers only accept certificates up to a certain age, so check what the place you apply to asks for.
Rules differ by exam and centre. Ask your centre whether you can resit only the part you did not pass, and for how long a passed part counts.
From your exam centre, usually a few weeks after the exam; many centres also show results online. The certificate lists the modules you passed.
