a rotina	the routine	A minha rotina é bem organizada. My routine is well organized.
"A" (fem. article); Portuguese nouns have grammatical gender.
o horário	the schedule / time	Qual é o horário da reunião? What time is the meeting?
Standard Portuguese SVO (subject-verb-object) word order.
tomar banho	to take a shower	Eu tomo banho duas vezes por dia. I take a shower twice a day.
"Por" = per/each; used in frequency expressions.
escovar os dentes	to brush teeth	Eu escovo os dentes depois de comer. I brush my teeth after eating.
"Antes de / depois de" + verb = before/after doing something.
a escova de dentes	the toothbrush	Eu preciso de uma escova de dentes nova. I need a new toothbrush.
"Precisar de" (to need) requires the preposition "de".
a pasta de dentes	the toothpaste	A pasta de dentes acabou. The toothpaste ran out.
"A" (fem. article); Portuguese nouns have grammatical gender.
o sabonete	the soap (bar)	Eu comprei sabonete no supermercado. I bought soap at the supermarket.
Preterite tense (pretérito perfeito): completed past action.
o shampoo	the shampoo	Eu uso shampoo para cabelo seco. I use shampoo for dry hair.

o secador	the hair dryer	O secador de cabelo está no banheiro. The hair dryer is in the bathroom.
"Estar" for location: describes where something/someone is right now.
se vestir	to get dressed	Eu me visto rápido de manhã. I get dressed quickly in the morning.

trocar de roupa	to change clothes	Eu preciso trocar de roupa antes de sair. I need to change clothes before going out.
"Precisar + infinitive" = to need to do something.
limpar	to clean	Eu limpo a casa no sábado. I clean the house on Saturday.
"No" = em + o (in the, masc.); Portuguese always contracts em + article.
