"Naar" = to (direction/destination).
het paspoort	the passport	Vergeet je paspoort niet! Don't forget your passport!
"Niet" negates verbs, adjectives, or definite nouns.
de bagage	the luggage / baggage	Mijn bagage is te zwaar. My luggage is too heavy.
"De"-word (common); "is" = 3rd person singular of "zijn" (to be).
de koffer	the suitcase	Ik heb mijn koffer al ingepakt. I have already packed my suitcase.
"Al" = already; placed before the verb or past participle.
de rugzak	the backpack	Mijn rugzak is heel licht. My backpack is very light.
"Heel" = very; intensifier placed before adjectives.
het hotel	the hotel	We overnachten in een klein hotel. We are staying overnight in a small hotel.
"In" = in; preposition for enclosed spaces.
de hotelkamer	the hotel room	De hotelkamer is schoon en ruim. The hotel room is clean and spacious.
"De"-word (common); "is" = 3rd person singular of "zijn" (to be).
de receptie	the reception / front desk	U kunt inchecken bij de receptie. You can check in at the reception.
"Bij" = at/near/by; preposition for locations or proximity.
de reservering	the reservation	Ik heb een reservering voor twee nachten. I have a reservation for two nights.
"Voor" = for/before; indicates purpose, benefit, or time.
de sleutelkaart	the key card	Hier is uw sleutelkaart. Here is your key card.
V2 word order: adverb first, then verb, then subject inverted.
de lift	the elevator	De lift is aan het einde van de gang. The elevator is at the end of the corridor.
"Van" = of/from; for origin, possession, or material.
de verdieping	the floor / story	Uw kamer is op de derde verdieping. Your room is on the third floor.
"Op" = on; preposition for surfaces and certain expressions.
de gang	the corridor / hallway	Loop de gang door naar links. Walk down the corridor to the left.

Yes/no question: verb moves to first position (inversion).
annuleren	to cancel	Ik moet mijn reservering annuleren. I have to cancel my reservation.
