a rotina	the routine	A minha rotina é bem organizada. My routine is well organized.
"A" (fem. article); Portuguese nouns have grammatical gender.
o horário	the schedule / time	Qual é o horário da reunião? What time is the meeting?
Standard Portuguese SVO (subject-verb-object) word order.
tomar banho	to take a shower	Eu tomo banho duas vezes por dia. I take a shower twice a day.
"Por" = per/each; used in frequency expressions.
escovar os dentes	to brush teeth	Eu escovo os dentes depois de comer. I brush my teeth after eating.
"Antes de / depois de" + verb = before/after doing something.
pentear	to comb / to brush (hair)	Eu penteio o cabelo de manhã. I comb my hair in the morning.

varrer	to sweep	Eu varro o chão da cozinha todos os dias. I sweep the kitchen floor every day.
"Todo/toda/todos" = every/all; agrees in gender and number.
passar o aspirador	to vacuum	Eu passo o aspirador na sala. I vacuum the living room.
"Na" = em + a (in the, fem.); Portuguese always contracts em + article.
lavar a louça	to wash the dishes	Quem vai lavar a louça hoje? Who is going to wash the dishes today?
"Ir + infinitive" = near future (going to do something).
a louça	the dishes / dishware	A louça está na pia. The dishes are in the sink.
"Estar" for location: describes where something/someone is right now.
secar a louça	to dry the dishes	Depois de lavar, eu seco a louça. After washing, I dry the dishes.
