What is CEFR B1?

B1 marks the transition to independent language use. You can deal with most situations likely to arise while travelling in an area where the language is spoken. You can produce simple connected text on familiar topics and describe experiences, events, dreams, hopes, and ambitions, as well as briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

At this level you can:
